Digital Learning Day 2022
The Arkansas Department of Education today announced the 18 Arkansas educators selected to receive a sponsorship of up to $2,000 to attend the Computer Science Teachers Association Annual Conference this summer in Chicago. The sponsorships will assist educators with expanding their knowledge of computer science and give them the opportunity to network with other educators from around the world at the conference, which will be held July 14 to 17, 2022. Congratulations to Valerie Hooten from Lonoke for being chosen as one of the 18 recipients of the Computer Science PD Sponsorships! The sponsorships were open to Arkansas K-12 public school teachers, librarians, curriculum coordinators, counselors, and other educators who have demonstrated their commitment to technology integration and computer science education at their school or district.

Here's an example of one of the many awesome teachers in our districts and what they're doing for our students even when they can't be in the classroom together. One of our math specialists had a Math Quest observation today. A teacher at Cabot presented her lesson online and invited him to join on Google Classroom. This is just one example of some of the dedicated and caring teachers we have in our area!
