The State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) is a five-year grant awarded to the Special Education Unit of the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) in October 2020. This grant was received from the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. The grant is managed in the state by the Great Rivers Education Service Cooperative, which directly employs SPDG personnel. The SPDG has an immediate opening for a Systems Specialist/Coach. This is a leadership position that will assist in the development of competency-based microcredentials, coordinate professional learning, and provide coaching and technical assistance at the state, regional, district, and school levels. The FIRST Robotics Competition Arkansas Regional was held March 5-7 in Little Rock. 59 teams from 9 states and Mexico, came together in Central Arkansas to showcase their months of hard work, creative problem solving and incredible team work.
